Should I attend a JW funeral?

i mean, i had respect for the guy, and it's obviously right to be there for the family and show support.

however, i can imagine what it will be like going back.

i was friendly with a lot of the older, tougher sisters, so i'm sure they'll get on my case.

I hope she does for a long time...but I have given it thought. The only way I will be able to get through

it is with Xanax and a cocktail. That's the way I get through most family gatherings.

Sandusky trial

i just read that at the trial they were surprised at the low turn out from the press is.

one report i read said that they had 40 empty seats in the courtroom.

after all the weeks that the news went on with the john edward's trail and the other trail that is making huge news about the sports player i thought for sure this one would be huge.. i guess i just do not understand what seems to be such a lack of interest now when this is talking about childern being abused.

There's an attorney that comes to my courtroom frequently that is part of the Sandusky trial

team. He's under a gag-non order until the trial is over. I think he's probably just doing it

for the publicity. I doubt that Sandusky will ever see the light of day though. Just my thoughts...

Growing up forced to listen to this kind of crap, I really feel for the young

people that are now facing what I did. It was bad enough have the Bible

Story Book thrown in my face and reliving the scary memories of that awful

orange book, Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained. Although I left when I

was 18 (SOME YEARS AGO) I still bear the emotional scars of the

mind controlling rhetoric thrown my way as an impressionable child. I can

only imagine the damage this video will instill in young people since it's so

closely tied into what should be fun, harmless, childhood entertainment.

This organization has literally taken away everything that children find fun,

playful and amusing, and replaced it with fear and guilt....fear and guilt that

these children will carry with them their whole lives, even if they manage to

break free, like I did.

I wish there was something more I could do. If there is, let me know. I just

am very disturbed at this, so much so, that I couldn't sleep last night.
